So, it's the end of January?!?!

I apparently forgot to publish the "Oh Christmas Tree" post. Oops. December was a whirl wind for us, just like it is for many people. This will be a picture download with few words. Big things: Trenton got his Buzz Lightyear that he wanted, and Verona received lots of dress up clothes.  The rest is a blur.  They had a wonderful 3rd birthday, and my parents came down for the week to visit, and were extra helpful as I started my first week at a new job (!).  Hence, why I haven't blogged as much.

For over 2 months it has been over 65 and sunny.  We got up to 80 a few days. We went to the park nearly every day and played outside tons.  Today we got our first rain. And we need it ever so bad.

It has been kinda hard to adjust to working again. I miss going to the gym terribly. I miss my Pilates class the most.  Although, I don't snack while at home, and have already lost 6 pounds since going back to work. That's crazy right?!?!  I am up at 5:15 every morning, ugh.  I need some time to myself to mentally prepare for the crazy morning.  The kids love their preschool, and we really love it too. They are already learning to write their names, which is huge. I am exhausted, sorry for the unenthusiastic post.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree..................

Two days after Thanksgiving, Andy and I took the kids up to Paradise to pick out our tree.  Andy has been going to this tree farm forever.  My first Christmas down here this is where we picked out our first tree.  We used to chop it down, since this is a U-Cut farm, but now that we have little ones that run all over we picked out a tree that they had brought in.

 We let them around the "forest" and they had a blast.  We are partial to Silvertips, so that is what we got. Kids "helping' Andy put the lights on.

 Last year, we decided to join the masses and do the Elf on the Shelf.  We registred the elf, and that was it. So this year we are slowing introducing said Elf.  Meet Pepe`.  We don't do any tricks or bad stuff. He just moves around the house into silly spots.

 Our Tree before the gate went up.  We are a colored lights, eclectic collector of ornaments, nothing fancy kind of tree decorators. And never a fake tree either.

The kiddo's have had so much fun saying Merry Christmas to everyone they meet. We have watched a ton of Christmas movies/cartoons, and somehow Trent picked up the phrase Happy Holidays, He busted it out on me one night and it was pretty funny.  They sorta get Santa Claus, and they are in love with lights.  We can't drive around at night without them freaking out about displays.
