October........I have almost caught up!!!

I did it! I have almost caught up with over 5 months of stuff!  woo hoo!!

With that said, I can hardly remember what we did in October!  For 5 weeks, from September, through the 2nd weekend of October, the kids did Short-E All Stars. They learned a different sport each Saturday for about an hour. Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, Baseball, and they ended with an Olympics type course at the end.  The kids  went to a birthday party, Andy built them bunk beds, and for one weekend, for the first time ever, Andy and I had the whole house to ourselves.

We have left the kids at our house and my parents and Andy's mom have watched them.  We went to Washington last summer, and my parents had them while we took a few days to ourselves. But never have we had the entire house to ourselves, with no kids, since we brought them home from the hospital.  It was so quiet, and so weird to eat at home and not have to constantly be telling someone to use a napkin, elbows off the table, smaller bites, etc.  We walked around Chico, day drank at The Bear, made dinner at home, and relaxed!  It was great. We picked the kids up on Sunday, and took them to Bishop's for our annual Pumpkin Farm visit. We had so much fun.  Although, the place has added more over since last year, and the price for doing items has gone up quite a bit.  But at least we got our apple pie and picked out our annual decoration.

We carved pumpkins at home and had Halloween as well.

 I got a can of hair paint to make Verona's hair 'black" like Snow White.  It looked so weird on her, with that yellow hair of hers peaking through.

September.........

September is a blur.  The 1st Saturday in September I ran my very first 5K,the Hero-Up.  I signed up for the virtual 5K, since I wasn't able to be in Oregon.  I got up early, and was out of the house by 6:20.  I didn't have a course. I just used the map my run app on my phone to guide me. I ran my entire subdivision, every cul-de-sac, every street, all over.  I saw parts I had never seen before.  I finished the 5K before I made it home, so anything after that was jut a bonus time. I have never been a runner.  Nor do I see myself every becoming one, but being out by myself, running, listening to my music and watching the sun come up was something amazing. I did have explosions of walking, don't think I  am some person who can just run 5K and think nothing of it. I can't wait to do it again next year, and I have plans to do another one or two in the spring.

My parents came down the end of September for a visit. Now that my mom is retired, they are always off gallivanting some where. After spending a week and the Oregon Coast, they came down to see us for a week. The kids were of course happy to bake, ride bikes, play on Oma's iPad, paint nails, and hang out.

The kids are playing so well with each other. Trent is very patient being what ever Verona wants him to be. Usually he is the groom, prince, doggy, to her bride, princess, owner.  

Verona has a set of twin babies that are girls. She has named the Velma and Daphne. We may watch too much Scooby Doo (only the original series, none of that remake crap).  I asked her how she can tell them apart (they usually don't' have clothes on) she got mad,and said "Because I'm the mommy!!!"  Good to know. 

They got this block puzzle a few years back as a gift. They have never ONCE been interested in doing the actual puzzle side of it. Instead the like to build the 16 blocks as high as they can. Lately, they have been working together to build the blocks as high as they can on top of the coffee table without tipping it over. They finally achieved their goal, and they were super proud, so proud that they requested I take a picture.
